Recommended Sizes by Grade Level

Elementary (K-5) — U8/U10

12'×6' (3.66m × 1.83m)

For PE classes, intramural play, and after-school programs grades K-5. Lightweight enough for a single PE teacher to set up. Two-goal mini-pitch fits inside a standard gymnasium.

Middle School (6-8) — U11/U13

18.5'×6.5' (5m × 2m)

UEFA 9-a-side standard. Used by most middle schools for both PE and modified-rules competition. Pairs with a 5,500 sq m practice field, or fits as a half-field on a high school varsity pitch.

View 18.5×6.5 →

JV / Practice — U14/U16

21'×7' (6.4m × 2.13m)

Sub-varsity practice goal — gives JV players close to varsity dimension without committing storage / transport for two full 24×8 goals. Common at smaller high schools sharing one practice field.

View 21×7 →

Varsity / FIFA-spec — High School + College

24'×8' (7.32m × 2.44m)

Full FIFA / NFHS / NCAA dimension. Game-spec for varsity competition. Same one-person 90-second setup, but tournament-grade build quality with reinforced anchor points for outdoor pitch use.

View 24×8 →

Most district orders mix sizes — e.g., a 7-12 campus orders 2× elementary (intramural / after-school), 2× middle (PE), 2× JV (practice), 2× varsity (game). Mixed orders qualify for the same tier discount as single-size bulk.

How District Procurement Works

  1. Request a quote — Email bulk@taysports.com or fill the form on /b2b. We reply with pricing, lead time, freight estimate, and the 7-item documentation PDF.
  2. District review — Athletic director, purchasing department, and (for some districts) school board committee review the quote + documentation. Demo goal sent on request for curriculum-committee evaluation.
  3. PO + net-30 — District issues a Purchase Order; we accept the PO, ship goals from US warehouse via LTL freight, invoice the district 30 days net.
  4. LTL delivery — 5-10 business days from PO acceptance, delivered to each school's loading dock or central district warehouse (district's choice). Per-school split delivery available at no extra cost.
  5. Setup + training — PE teacher / custodial staff inflate each goal in 90 seconds. We provide a 2-minute setup video and a printed quick-start card. Optional Zoom training for district PE staff included on orders of 12+ goals.

Budget Guidance

We don't publish full tier tables (every district has different mix, freight zone, and timing) — but here's what district AD/purchasing typically budget for at a planning stage:

  • Single elementary school — 2 × 12×6 goals: roughly $1,200-$1,800 budget line, freight included.
  • Single middle school — 2 × 18.5×6.5 goals: roughly $1,800-$2,800 budget line.
  • Single high school — 2 × 24×8 varsity + 2 × 21×7 practice: roughly $4,500-$6,500 budget line.
  • 7-school district mixed order — 14-21 goals across all three sizes: roughly $14,000-$22,000 with multi-school district discount applied.

These are planning ranges, not quotes. Email us with your school count, target sizes, and delivery ZIP code(s) and we'll send a specific quote within 1-2 business days.

School Buyer FAQ

What soccer goal sizes do schools usually order?

Elementary schools (K-5) typically use the 12'×6' (3.66m × 1.83m) size for U8/U10 PE classes and intramural play. Middle schools (grades 6-8) use 18.5'×6.5' (5m × 2m) for U11-U13. High school varsity programs use either 21'×7' (6.4m × 2.13m) for JV / practice or full 24'×8' (7.32m × 2.44m) for FIFA-spec varsity matches. Most districts order a mix across the three sizes for a single 7-12 campus.

Are the goals safe enough for elementary school PE classes?

Yes — our inflatable / RAT-frame goals are designed specifically for unsupervised-by-coach school environments. They're soft-frame (no metal tubes near kids), tip-resistant under normal play (no anchor stakes required for typical PE use), and certified to BS:8462:2005 (UK / Commonwealth) and EN 16579:2018 (EU). Custodial staff or PE teachers can set up a goal in 90 seconds without tools.

Do you work with school district purchasing, net-30, and W-9?

Yes. The standard 7-item documentation package includes: W-9, Certificate of Insurance ($1M-$2M GL + Product Liability naming the district as additional insured), BS:8462 attestation, MSDS, 12-month warranty terms, return policy, and freight terms. Provided as a single PDF within 1-2 business days of quote request. Net-30 terms are standard for established US/Canadian districts.

How does multi-school district pricing work?

District-level orders covering 3+ schools get a per-unit volume discount over single-school pricing. Common pattern: a 7-school district orders 14-21 goals (one practice + one game goal per school) and receives roughly 18-25% off single-school catalog. We split the freight into per-school deliveries (LTL with school address as destination) at no extra cost.

How long do the goals last in a school PE environment?

Frame seams carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty. Real-world service life in school PE programs is typically 4-7 years of daily use, depending on storage practice. Goals stored indoors (custodial closet or gym storage) outlast goals stored outdoors in southern-tier UV exposure. The fabric is repairable in the field — we provide repair kits with the goals.

Do you offer free shipping for school orders?

Freight is included in the quote for orders of 8+ goals delivered to a single school district address. Smaller orders (4-7 goals) are quoted with LTL freight to the school loading dock. Single-goal orders ship via UPS Ground.

Can we get a sample for a curriculum committee review?

Yes — for district-level orders we send one demo goal at no cost for a 14-day evaluation period. After the eval the district returns the demo (we pay return shipping) or applies the demo cost toward the bulk PO.

Does the goal meet state PE safety guidelines (e.g., NJSIAA, CIF, UIL)?

State athletic association rules for varsity competition typically reference FIFA goal dimensions (24'×8') — our 7.32m × 2.44m goal meets that spec. For PE class / sub-varsity use, state-level safety guidelines focus on tip-resistance and head-impact, both of which our inflatable goal design addresses by removing the metal-tube hazard. We provide the BS:8462 attestation document, which most state associations accept as the safety substantiation.
