Built by the Manufacturer
We're TAY Sports — the manufacturer behind the Rigid Air Technology (RAT) used in this goal and in several other inflatable goal brands you'll see on the market. We've been engineering portable goal systems since 2005 and ship directly to North American clubs, schools, and event coordinators. This 12'×6' Junior is our most popular size for U9-U12 club training — the size US Youth Soccer recommends for 7v7 small-sided play.
Who This Goal Is — and Isn't — For
This goal is right for you if:
- You coach U9-U12 teams and need the size that matches 7v7 field formats
- You move between fields (turf, grass, indoor) and need under-2-minute setup by one person
- You run multiple simultaneous practice fields and need a single coach to deploy several goals
- You prioritize player safety — the RAT frame yields on impact rather than transferring force
- You're buying for a club budget where 5-year cost matters more than 25-year permanence
Not the right fit if:
- You need a permanent installation (consider in-ground steel for that use case)
- You play sanctioned 11v11 league matches at U13+ (governing bodies require FIFA-spec rigid frames)
- You only train one age group at one fixed indoor facility (permanent steel may be more durable)
- You're outfitting a backyard for casual U6-U8 play (the 6'×4' Mini is a better fit)

Setup — Step by Step
- 1
Unroll the goal on a flat surface
Lay the deflated goal flat on the field with the open net side facing where shooters will stand. The frame should be in a U-shape outline on the ground.
- 2
Connect the pump and inflate to 1 Bar
Attach the included pump to the inflation valve at the base of the goal. Pump until the included pressure indicator reaches 1 Bar (15 PSI). The frame will rise to full upright shape over about 60 seconds.
- 3
Verify frame rigidity
Press firmly on the crossbar — it should feel rigid. If it gives more than 1 cm, add 5-10 more pump strokes. Under-pressure is the most common setup error and reduces shot rebound quality.
- 4
Anchor for your surface
On grass or turf, drive the 4 included ground stakes through the back-corner loops at a 30-degree outward angle. On indoor or pavement, attach 25 lb sandbags to each back corner via the same loops.
- 5
Final safety check
Pull firmly downward on the front edge of the crossbar — the goal should not pivot backward. If it does, your anchoring is insufficient. Add a stake or sandbag and retest. This is the same test the EN 16579 standard specifies.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages is the 12'×6' Junior soccer goal designed for?
U9-U12 youth training and small-sided 7v7 league play. This matches US Youth Soccer Player Development Initiatives recommended formats for these age groups. For U6-U8, the 6'×4' Mini is a better fit. For U13+, step up to 16'×7' or 18.5'×6.5'.
How long does it take one coach to set up?
Under 90 seconds with the included manual pump, or about 30 seconds with an optional electric pump. One coach can deploy 4 goals in 8 minutes for a multi-field practice setup.
Can this goal handle adult-level shots?
Yes, at 1 Bar (15 PSI) frame pressure, struck balls rebound the same as off a FIFA-spec steel goal. The goal is rated for player collision and adult shot velocity. The size makes it inappropriate for adult sanctioned match play, but for training and drills, adult use is fine.
What anchoring comes in the box?
Four ground stakes for grass and turf, plus reinforced sandbag attachment loops at each back corner for indoor or pavement use. Sandbags are not included (use 25 lb dry sand per corner — available at any hardware store).
Is it safe for kids?
Yes. The goal is EN 16579 compliant — the international portable goal safety standard — and the RAT frame yields under impact rather than transferring force into the child. The historical safety incidents in youth soccer have overwhelmingly involved unanchored steel goals, not inflatable goals built to this standard.
How long will it last with weekly club use?
5-8 years for the frame with weekly use. The net typically needs replacement at year 2-3 (sold separately, in stock). Patch kits handle the rare puncture in 5 minutes. The 5-year cost-per-session is significantly lower than steel goals at this size.
How Clubs and Schools Use It
- Single-club U9-U12 program: 4 goals cover two simultaneous practice fields
- School district 5th-8th grade PE: 6 goals supply 3 simultaneous PE classes
- Weekend tournament organizer: 8 goals enable a 4-field youth bracket
- Multi-age skills clinic: 2 goals paired with cones for rotating station drills
