Standards, Declarations & Buyer Documentation
We are TAY Sports, manufacturer of this training range. This page states clearly which safety standards our equipment is built to, what documentation we supply for an institutional order, and where the line falls between a signed manufacturer declaration and third-party certification. We would rather under-claim and be precise than over-promise.
Standards We Build To
BS EN 16579 — Portable Football Goals
The current European safety standard for portable and free-standing football goals (last revised 2018), adopted in the UK as BS EN 16579. Our goals are designed and manufactured to meet its requirements for stability against overturning, structural load, and entrapment prevention. We supply a signed manufacturer declaration of conformity referencing the standard, backed by our internal test records. EN 16579 follows the manufacturer self-declaration route — there is no mandatory third-party certificate.

The Ecowalker Light is built to the IEC 60598 luminaire safety framework at IP65 rating — dust-tight and protected against water jets, suitable for outdoor and pitch-side use. Signed IP65 declaration available on request and below.
Download declaration →CE / UKCA Marking
CE and UKCA marking are part of our 2026 documentation programme for the EU and UK markets and are in progress. We will publish the certificate here once issued. Until then we do not display a CE or UKCA mark we have not obtained.
EN 14960 — Inflatable Equipment
EN 14960, the inflatable play equipment standard relevant to certain inflatable structures, is in progress. Listed here as in progress, not claimed.
Documentation Pack for Institutional Buyers
Every institutional order includes the documents a purchasing, finance, or risk department requires to onboard a supplier. Project-specific signed declarations (carrying your order or project number) are returned within 1–2 working days.
- W-9 — for US supplier set-up and 1099 reporting.
- Certificate of Insurance (COI) — naming your organisation where required.
- BS EN 16579 Declaration of Conformity — signed manufacturer self-declaration.
- IP65 Floodlight Declaration — where floodlighting is part of the order.
- Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) — material safety data for fabric and components.
- Warranty Terms — written coverage and claims procedure.
- Returns & Freight Terms — clear, in writing, before the order.
An Honest Word on Claims
Some suppliers blur the distinction between “built to a standard” and “certified by a third party”. We do not. For portable football goals, BS EN 16579 follows the manufacturer self-declaration route — there is no mandatory external certificate. What you should expect (from us or anyone) is a signed declaration of conformity plus the underlying test records. That is exactly what we supply. For floodlighting we hold an IEC 60598 / IP65 safety declaration. Where third-party certification is still in progress (CE/UKCA, EN 14960), we say “in progress” rather than imply we already hold it. If a claim does not appear on this page, assume we do not make it.
