Ecowalker Light — Portable Inflatable Field Light
Designed and manufactured by TAY Sports. Trusted on fields, pitches, camps, and training grounds where power outlets are far away and daylight runs out before practice does.
Ecowalker Light is a fully portable, inflatable LED field-lighting system. It packs into a single carry bag, deploys in minutes, runs on a standard 12V sealed battery (sourced locally — see below), and lights a working practice space without generators, ladders, or permanent fixtures.
Engineered in-house and built in our own factory — when you order Ecowalker Light, you are ordering direct from the people who make it.
Why coaches, camps, and facility managers choose Ecowalker Light
- Set up in under 5 minutes. Unfold, inflate with 8 pump cycles, drop the LED module on top, tighten the butterfly bolt, connect the battery — the light is on.
- No generator. No power run. No permit. Runs on a standard 12V 14Ah sealed lead-acid or LiFePO4 battery (purchased locally — globally available format). A matching wall charger restores it overnight.
- IP65 weatherproof. Rain and dust resistant — built for real outdoor conditions, not just dry-weather use.
- Stable in real conditions. Three legs secured with ground pegs (soft turf) or sandbags (hard courts). Guide lines included for windy sites.
- Tournament-safe connections. Battery cable fastens to the LED module with a screw-cap watertight connector — no exposed terminals, no weather-sensitive plugs.
- Built to travel. Packed weight 9.1 kg (20 lbs). The LED module rides in its own inflated protector cover inside the carry bag. Designed to survive the back of a van season after season.
- Manufacturer-backed. 3-year LED module warranty + 1-year full product warranty, direct from us.

Battery & charger purchased locally — here’s what to buy:
- Battery: 12V 14Ah sealed lead-acid (SLA) or LiFePO4. Both work. SLA is cheaper ($30-50); LiFePO4 is lighter and longer-lasting but 2-3x the price. Available globally at automotive retailers, Amazon, electronics stores, or outdoor equipment specialists.
- Charger: 12V DC charger matched to your battery type and your local wall power voltage / plug standard. Don’t mix SLA and LiFePO4 chargers — get one matched to the battery you buy.
Why we don’t ship batteries: Batteries face strict international shipping restrictions (air freight hazmat rules, ocean freight delays, customs holds). Including a battery in the kit typically adds $50-150 in shipping cost and 2-4 weeks of delay. Wall chargers face the same problem with voltage and plug variation across countries. Local sourcing saves you money and time, gets you a charger matched to your wall power, and means you can replace the battery locally when it reaches end of life.

Note on voltage: The LED module is built for stable 12V DC supply. Any voltage above 14V — such as a direct vehicle alternator feed while the engine is running — can damage internal electronics. Always use a properly regulated 12V battery and matching charger. If you need to run from a different power source, contact us first.
How setup works (the 90-second version)
- Unpack and unfold the stanchion from the carry bag.
- Open the three legs into their standing position.
- Check the valve at the top of the stanchion is fully closed (anticlockwise).
- Attach the pump hose to the INFLATE port and pump 8 full cycles (up and down counts as one). Screw the valve cap back on when done.
- Seat the LED module on top of the inflated stanchion and fully tighten the butterfly bolt.
- Stand the unit upright in position. Secure the legs with ground pegs on grass or sandbags on hard surfaces. In wind, add the guide lines.
- Place your battery in its bag, hang the bag on the hook under the stanchion, then run the battery cable. Brown = positive, Blue = negative.
- Connect the battery cable to the LED module and fasten the screw cap. The light comes on the moment the connection is made — there is no separate switch.
To pack up: reverse the steps, use the pump’s DEFLATE option to remove residual air, and slide the LED module into its protector cover before stowing.
Where Ecowalker Light is used
- Youth clubs and academies running evening practice after school — one coach, one kit bag, full visibility.
- Summer camps and tournaments that need to light warm-up areas, registration tables, or secondary fields without running mains power.
- Backyard and driveway training for families whose kids don’t stop when the sun goes down.
- Facility operators as emergency or overflow lighting when primary rigs are down for service.
- Event and film production where a silent, portable, battery-powered soft light beats wheeling in a generator.
Important safety notes
- Do not discard the inflated pocket protector that ships around the LED module. It’s part of the transit protection system.
- Always tighten the butterfly bolt fully before operating. The LED module is heavier than it looks.
- Use the battery bag. It keeps the sealed battery off the ground and insulated from what’s around it.
- Secure with guide lines in wind. The stanchion is inflatable — it catches the wind like any vertical structure.
- Guide lines are a trip hazard. Flag them or use cones in pedestrian areas.
- Always fully recharge after use. Sealed lead-acid batteries last significantly longer when not left discharged.
- Deflate before storage. Use the pump’s deflate option to remove residual air — stowing under pressure shortens fabric life.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn’t Ecowalker Light come with a battery and charger?
Batteries face strict international shipping restrictions — air freight hazmat rules, ocean freight delays, and customs holds. Including a battery typically adds $50-150 in shipping cost and 2-4 weeks of delay. Wall chargers have the same problem because voltage (110V vs 220V) and plug formats vary by country. The 12V 14Ah battery format is globally standard and available locally for $30-50, with a charger matched to your wall power. Local sourcing is faster, cheaper, and gets you the right charger for your country.
What battery should I buy?
A 12V 14Ah sealed lead-acid (SLA) or LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery. Both work with Ecowalker Light. SLA is cheaper ($30-50) and heavier; LiFePO4 is lighter and lasts longer but costs 2-3x more. Pair the battery with a matching 12V DC charger (don’t mix SLA and LiFePO4 chargers).
Where can I buy the battery?
Globally available at: automotive retailers (AutoZone, Halfords, etc.), Amazon, electronics stores, UPS / computer supply stores, marine equipment specialists, outdoor and camping suppliers. The 12V 14Ah format is one of the most common battery sizes in the world.
Is Ecowalker Light waterproof?
Yes — IP65 rated. The LED module and connections are rain and dust resistant, built for real outdoor deployment. Pack it away if conditions turn severe (heavy sustained rain or submersion risk).
How long does the battery last on one charge?
Runtime depends on temperature, battery age, and how recently it was charged. A 14Ah battery typically powers the 40W system for 3–4 hours per charge. Always start sessions with a fully charged battery.
Can I run Ecowalker Light from my car?
Only with caution. A car battery with the engine off is roughly 12.6V — safe. A running alternator can push 14.4V+, which exceeds Ecowalker Light’s safe range (14V max) and will damage the module. Use a dedicated 12V battery as recommended above. Contact us before rigging alternative power.
Can I replace the battery myself?
Yes — and you’ll do it once or twice over the system’s life. The 14Ah 12V format is standard, so end-of-life replacement (typically every 2–4 years for SLA, 5–8 years for LiFePO4) is straightforward and locally available. The product warranty excludes the battery itself but covers all other components.
How many units do I need for a full soccer pitch?
Six units in a standard formation cover a full-size pitch (approx. 100m × 65m) at 3.5m height. For training sessions on half a pitch or smaller areas, two to three units are typically sufficient.
Is this a generator-style work light?
No. Work lights are designed for job sites — fixed position, mains power, bright but narrow beam. Ecowalker Light is designed for portable field use: freestanding inflatable support, battery-powered, wide 120° diffuse coverage for play and training, IP65 weatherproofing, tournament-safe connectors.
Do you offer volume pricing for clubs or camps?
Yes. We manufacture Ecowalker Light in-house, so we can quote direct for clubs, camps, academies, and facility operators. Contact us with your quantity and deployment use-case.

I run operations for a youth soccer club with 18 teams in Seattle. We bought three Eco Walker Lights last spring and they’ve become essential equipment. We bring them to away matches when the host field has poor lighting — which is about 60% of the time. Coaches love that they inflate in minutes and run off standard generators.

Our field hockey and lacrosse teams share the same grass field in Austin. We were quoted $42,000 to install permanent lighting poles — plus months of permitting and construction. Bought two Eco Walker units for under $4K total and we’ve been running evening practices since August. These things pay for themselves in avoided infrastructure costs alone.

We host a 200-team Memorial Day tournament in Columbus, Ohio. Every year we struggle with fields that don’t have lights for the later bracket games. Bought eight Eco Walker Lights in 2024 and deployed them across four auxiliary fields. Coaches and parents were blown away. We actually had to turn away teams this year because registration filled up faster than ever — word got out that we have proper lighting.

We run a 6-week overnight sports camp in rural Maine. Before Eco Walker, everything shut down at sunset — around 8 PM in July. Now we run evening soccer tournaments, night capture-the-flag, even stargazing hikes with the lights positioned for trail markers. The kids call them ‘the light towers’ and they’re genuinely one of the most popular pieces of equipment we own.

We used to lose 30 minutes of practice time every fall once the sun went down. Bought the Eco Walker Light in September 2024 and it’s been a revelation. Took two assistant coaches about 8 minutes to set up the first time — now my seniors can do it in under 5. The light quality is legitimately better than the fixed poles at our rival school’s field.

I produce highlight videos for high school athletes in Denver. Lighting is everything for getting usable footage, especially for evening games. I bought two Eco Walker Lights for my kit and they’ve paid for themselves twice over. No generator noise ruining audio, no cables running across the field, and the 3500 lumens is enough to get clean shots at ISO 800. I recommend them to every videographer I meet.

My daughter’s U12 travel team plays tournaments all over the Midwest. One dad on our team bought the Eco Walker Light for the club and now we’re the envy of every tournament we attend. I recorded video of her scoring the winning goal at 8:45 PM in Rockford, Illinois last month — first time I’ve ever gotten usable footage from a night game.

I was skeptical about the inflatable part — thought it would blow over or get damaged. We’ve had these at our academy in Orlando for six months now, including through three tropical storms with 40mph winds. As long as you use the guide lines and sandbags like the instructions say, these things are rock solid. The IP65 rating is legit — we’ve had them running in heavy rain with no issues.

I volunteer as commissioner for our town’s adult rec soccer league in Burlington, Vermont. We play at the municipal fields which have zero lighting. Rented generators with work lights for two seasons — noisy, smelly, and constantly breaking down. Switched to four Eco Walker Lights in March 2025 and our players keep asking what changed. The light is better, setup is faster, and we don’t have to yell over engine noise anymore.

My son is serious about soccer and we don’t have a backyard big enough in Phoenix. We set up drills in our cul-de-sac after dinner and the Eco Walker Light lets us go until 9 PM in the summer. Neighbors actually come out to watch because it lights up the whole street corner. The battery lasts about 3.5 hours which is perfect for our sessions. Best sports purchase we’ve made.
